NHB: Monumental Learning Journeys
Take students on a guided walk through Singapore's National Monuments. Choose from four themed tours exploring war, religion, national symbols, and the Singapore River.
This series of guided walking tours bring students to our majestic National Monuments to discover Singapore history through built heritage!
Students can embark on 4 thematic tours -- Lest We Forget (War Memorials), Mixed Blessings (Religious monuments on Telok Ayer Street), Stars and Crescent (National Monuments that witnessed the birth of our National Symbols), and A Tale of Two Towns (Monuments on the two banks of the Singapore River).
Details
A guide will bring students on a walking tour to 3- 4 National Monuments and share more the architectural and historical significance of these buildings /sites/structures and their relevance to the theme. Worksheets are available upon request.

Students will gain a better appreciation of Singapore's history through our built heritage.
