A Brush with Culture Programme (Wan Qing Yuan)
School Levels
Primary
Students will explore Singapore’s socio-cultural diversity through the learning of cultural art forms (e.g. literary art, music, traditional arts and performing arts) of the major ethnic groups. They will experience it through storytelling, tactile object learning, hands-on activities, and observing artefacts and virtual exhibition galleries.
The programme will be conducted in schools, with students going through 2-5 learning stations (one station in a classroom/designated area in multipurpose room) in a soapbox format.
Each station features a Chinese cultural art form which students can experience through multi-sensory learning. The programme is conducted primarily in Chinese, with English materials available for non-Chinese speaking students.
