'Ayuh Teroka!' (Let's Explore) Video Series

The ‘Let’s Explore!’ video series highlight the history, culture, fashion and the roots of the Malay community through the artefacts on display in the historic Istana Kampong Gelam, a National Monument. The Malay Heritage Centre had collaborated with several Malay Language teachers to create this video series in Malay to complement the Secondary school Malay curriculum.

Details

Teachers can screen the videos in class to complement the curriculum. Teachers may also like to ask questions or set aside time to complete the activities.

Learning Objectives

Students will learn about the culture, traditions and history of the Malay community in a more meaningful way. This will deepen their appreciation of the role and contributions of the Malay community in the development of Singapore.
