Curators' Tour of Malay Heritage Centre's Permanent Galleries

Come explore the permanent galleries of the Malay Heritage Centre from the comforts of your own home! The Malay Heritage Centre is housed in the Istana Kampong Gelam in the heart of historic Kampong Gelam in Singapore. In this video series, discover artefacts and objects through anecdotes and insights shared by our curators.

Learning Objectives

Students will learn about the history of Kampong Gelam through the artefacts from the National Collection and the Malay community. They will gain a deeper appreciation of the role of the Malay community and their contribution Singapore’s development as a port-city. Students are encouraged to reflect on the significance of preserving Singapore’s unique heritage too.
