Tales from the Nusantara Storytelling Videos

Learn more about Malay culture and heritage through this storytelling video series available on Malay Heritage Centre’s YouTube. Stories included folktales from the Nusantara (Malay world) and an inspiring story of one of our local pioneers, Zubir Said. Available in English and/or Malay.

Details

Teachers can play the videos for students in the classroom to support classroom learning. Teachers may also choose to hold post-discussions related to the stories with their students.

Learning Objectives

Students will be introduced to stories from the region which will explores the rich heritage of the Malay community. This will enable them to identify Singapore’s cultural connections with Southeast Asia.
