Land Transport Authority: Transport Ambassador Programme

The Transport Ambassador Programme (TAP) is a 3-part series designed to encourage students to embark on eco-friendly transport habits. Consisting of the assembly shows, roving exhibition and Green Commutes Challenge, schools are required to participate in all 3 programmes under TAP. Upon completion of all three programmes, schools may include this initiative as part of their submission for the School Green Awards by the Singapore Environment Council. Top performing schools in reducing car trips will also be recognised with a special achievement award.

Assembly Show: Choose from either one of the two themes presented through skits and games!
- Sustainability and Green Commutes: Discover practical ways to embrace green commutes and contribute to our environment!
- Safety on Green Commutes: Learn essential safety tips for walking on roads and paths, cycling, and using public transport!
Roving Showcase: Explore sustainability and green commutes through our hands-on showcase, featuring an exhibition, electric bus display, and activity booths. Green Commutes
Challenge: Students will apply what they have learnt by embarking on a 10-day challenge to travel to school via car-lite modes (Walk, Cycle, Ride public transport)!

Learning Objectives

Learn more about the impact of climate change and how green commutes can make difference to mitigate the impact of climate change
Embark on green commutes to reduce their carbon footprint and make a positive change to the environment
