Students can watch live parliamentary debates from the public galleries. This free, in-person programme helps secondary and post-secondary students understand how laws are made in Singapore.
Parliament in Session
Attend and observe parliamentary debates "live". Listen to Ministers and MPs discuss and debate government policies, programmes, Bills and affairs of state. An explanation will be provided on the proceedings in progress. For Lower and Upper Secondary, ITE, Polytechnic and Pre-University students.
Details
Students will be allowed to view parliamentary proceedings from the public galleries.
Objectives: To de-mystify Parliament House by learning about the history, the people and how law-making works in singapore.
Target Audience: Sec 3 to 4/5 students, Post-Sec (JC/Poly/ITE)
Runtime: January, February, March, April, May, July, August, September, October, November
Fee: Complimentary
Modality: In-person
Duration of Session: 1.5 hours
