Details

The Maritime Discovery Expedition will begin with a one-hour guided tour at the Singapore Maritime Gallery, followed by a visit to either the Port Operations Control Centre (POCC) or the Integrated Simulation Centre (ISC). Additional site visits to restricted facilities will be developed in the future. Please feel free to write in to inquire about these developments.

Learning Objectives

This programme allows participants to:

1) Explore maritime innovation: Participants can dive into innovation centers and company visits to gain insights into cutting-edge technologies, solutions, and trends shaping the maritime industry’s future.

2) Understand port operations: Participants can visit facilities to understand the intricate operations, supply chain management, and efficiency driving Singapore’s global maritime trade.

3) Meet industry leaders: Participants can get to meet and interact with industry professionals, leaders, and experts to gain valuable perspectives on the present challenges and future opportunities within the maritime sector.

4) Embrace sustainability: Participants can discover sustainable practices, eco-friendly initiatives, and green technologies adopted by the maritime industry, emphasizing its commitment to a more sustainable and eco-conscious future.

Target Audience: Primary P1- 6 students, Secondary 1- 4/5 students, Post Secondary (JC/ Poly/ ITE)
