The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month is an important festival for Chinese communities around the world. It is also known as the Duan Wu ("double fifth") Festival in Mandarin. Wan Qing Yuan presents “Dragon Boat Festival”, a festive travelling exhibition that sheds light on the myths, legends, and customs of one of the most celebrated festivals in the on the Chinese lunar calendar. It is commonly believed that two key commemorative practices of Dragon Boat Festival are the sport of dragon boat racing and the consumption of rice dumplings. The exhibition is available in both English and Mandarin.
