Ever wondered what it means to ‘Go Green’? How can a small country like Singapore, its businesses, and its people, contribute to eco-culture? Come down to SDC to learn more about green initiatives such as Solar Panels and understand how we, ourselves, can be stewards of our environment. Singapore Discovery Centre is managed by Defence Collective Singapore.

INTRODUCTION [30 MINS]
How do you go green? Can schools and businesses go green too? Students will be introduced to the concept of sustainability and ‘going green’ as well as why it is important, especially now, to do so.
HOW TO GO GREEN? – ECO TOUR [1 HOUR]
Students will be guided on a tour of the solar panel installations and urban garden at Singapore Discovery Centre where they will learn through first-hand experience, how these initiatives contribute to a more sustainable building.
MY ‘GREEN’ SCHOOL [30 MINS]
Students will be led through a classroom session to think about how their school can ‘go green’. They will be tasked to think about ideas in which they can implement in school, that will help make their school more sustainable
Objectives:
1. Understand the initiatives taken by Singapore, its businesses, and its people, contributing to the ongoing green efforts.
2. Strengthen the knowledge and commitment to ‘Eco-Culture’.
Target Audience: Pri 3 - 6 students
