The Wormery Movement
Food waste contributed to 12% of the total waste generated in Singapore. In 2022, the amount of food waste generated was 813,000 tonnes with a recycling rate of 18% (source: NEA). As food waste continues to be a challenge, South East CDC will be introducing The Wormery Movement, an educational and sustainable programme to encourage students to a adopt zero waste lifestyle that supports a circular economy.
